Hard 80's Action Cinema (Might have been hard if it was made in the 80's)

This was actually made in 1990 but it has a tagline that ripped off the 1986 Volleyball Tony Scott hardness known as Top Gun. That film's tagline stated "The Best of the Best." Firebirds takes it one step further by saying "The best just got better."

All I remember about this film, besides being terrible, was that it had really bad montages set to Phil Collins music. I also remember I was the only person in the theatre watching this on a Sunday during the opening weekend so that makes me a bit of a douche. Anyway, I still consider it hard because the Bad Lt, Warden McClusky, and Lois Einhorn is in it but it may have been a bigger hit in the 80's. It is a very 80's film, I would say borderline 1982 / 1983.
