Hard 80's Action Cinema and Moliere's Weekend Viewing Recommendation Part 1

PRINCE OF THE CITY (1981)
Directed by Sidney Lumet
Flat 1.85:1
U.S.

One of the hardest films ever made about corruption within the police department and the cop who turns them all in. The film is based on one of the hardest novels I have ever read written by Ex-NYPD cop Robert Daley under the same title as the film.  Treat Williams is so fucking hard in this that his performance obviously inspired many other performances in cop/mobster type shows and films like American Gangster and The Sopranos. It pushes a 3 hour run time but it is so fucking hard and awesome, you won't notice it. Hardness at it's best:
