Moliere's Weekend Hard Movie Rec.

In keeping with the theme of this week's release of hardness known as "The Expendables 2," what better way to get pumped then to re-watch these classics again.

The original. The best. The only.
DIE HARD (1988)
Hardness Moment:
Bruce jumps off the roof of the Nakatomi plaza.
Matt Hunter, a one man army vs. everyone else.
INVASION U.S.A. (1985)
Hardness Moment:
Chuck's removal of the villain played by Richard Lynch

Lundgren + hardness = I COME IN PEACE (1990)
Hardness Moment:
When Dolph tells the bad "alien" that he will "Go in Pieces."

Marion Cobretti.
Crime is the disease, he's the cure.
Hardness Moment:
Stallone is at his hardest when he comes home, opens the fridge, and
cuts a slice of cold pizza with some heavy duty shears.
COBRA (1986)
P.S. - Hot 80's soundtrack included

In my opinion, the best of Van Damme. You get Double The Van Dammage
in DOUBLE IMPACT (1991)
Hardness Moment:
Van Damme's harder brother (on the left) is letting his
mind go wild by envisioning that his woman and the other brother (see
Van Damme on the right in hot pink shorts) are having an
affair. The harder brother drinks hard liquor (looks like scotch)
and blows the scotch out of one of his nostrils.

This is an underrated Arnie flick
RAW DEAL (1986)
Hardness Moment:
Any scene where he rips on Robert Davi's character.
The system gave him a raw deal. Nobody gives him a raw deal.
A lot of American audiences did not uncover his martial
art hardness until LETHAL WEAPON 4 (1998)
Hardness Moment:
Jet takes apart Mel Gibson's 9mm while still in Gibson's hand.

Statham at his hardest. His version of "Man on Fire."
THE TRANSPORTER 2 (2005)
Hardness Moment:
Playing 20 questions with the kid he's protecting because
the filmmaker is trying to make him seem like a pussy that
likes kids but you know Statham is waiting for the kid to fuck up
so he can snap his neck.
I think Crews is at his hardest in WHITE CHICKS (2004)
but it of course is not an action flick so his next hardest role
is in 2008's STREET KINGS. He then brought his hardest hardness
in first "Expendables" flick.
Hardness Moment:
The Liquor Store
